Hello and welcome to the website for Yorkley playgroup, we are also linked with Parkend Early Learners.

Yorkley Playgroup is a very busy and well respected playgroup of roughly 40 children. Children attend from Yorkley, and neighbouring villages and towns such as Lydney, Bream and Blakeney.  It is located in the Forest of Dean, a beautiful rural setting.  Ofsted graded the nursery ‘Outstanding’ overall at its last inspection with all areas  'Outstanding'. Children are the heart of our playgroup and their thoughts, needs and opinions are key to helping improve the playgroup.

I have had the pleasure of managing Yorkley Playgroup since November 2015. Together, as a team, we all work hard to make the Playgroup a welcoming, secure and exciting place not only for our children but their families and the wider community too.

Our committed and dedicated staff ensure that through our individual Curriculum learning is inspiring, challenging and fun. We pride ourselves on being a caring playgroup where our children’s welfare is important as we believe that happy, motivated children are successful children.

Choosing a playgroup for your child is one of the most important decisions you make for them early on in their life. We always encourage prospective parents to come and have a look around before a decision.

We are linked with Yorkley School and Parkend School as both playgroups are situated on the grounds of the schools.
